At Gay Pride Apparel, our mission has always been rooted in visibility, affirmation, and community for all. We know that true inclusivity must include everyone — and that includes access to sizes that reflect the diversity of our community’s bodies.
We’ve received important feedback about the limited size availability on some of our products, especially our crop tops. You're right to expect more, and we want to be transparent about where we are and where we’re trying to go.
The apparel industry still lags behind when it comes to size inclusivity, particularly with fashion-forward silhouettes like crops. Most blank garment suppliers cap their sizing at 2XL, and unfortunately, we do not currently manufacture our own blanks. As a Mexican-American and queer-owned business bootstrapping without outside investment, we simply do not have the resources yet to create custom-size runs — though it is something we aspire to as we grow.
That said, we are actively searching for new suppliers who offer extended sizing and are committed to doing better. Many of our core products, including tees and sweatshirts, are available from XS to 5XL and up to 6XL in some styles. While not a perfect solution, we often DIY our own GPA crops by cutting tees to fit our style and body — and we encourage others to do the same if it feels right for them.
We understand that this isn’t ideal, and we want to make it clear: your frustration is valid. We see you. We hear you. And we are working every day to better reflect the full spectrum of our community.
